Initial meeting in the Giardino di Sicilia<\/em> at 11:30 AM. We are in the territory of Scillato, surrounded only by the pristine nature and the quietness of the Madonie Natural Park<\/strong>. In this field, we will find numerous cultivations of herbs, vegetables and fruit. Depending on the season of the year, you are free to pick and eat<\/strong> the ripe products, directly from the plant!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The owners of the agricultural holding will show us how their crops are grown with a biodynamic<\/em> method, and most importantly their irrigation system \u2013 the fields are irrigated through a spring that lets the water flow through numerous small canals. It is an ancient method that is still very functional and interesting to witness. This guarantees the total respect of the local fauna: besides the common pollinators, with a bit of luck we could be able to spot other kinds of animals that live in the Madonie Natural Park, such as hawks, fawns or blue-headed European green lizards.<\/p>

Then, under the cool shade of the orange trees, we will enjoy a delicious lunch<\/strong> prepared with the freshest vegetables produced here, along with cold cuts and cheese produced responsibly in the farms of the area.
