This excursion will give you the incredible opportunity to explore the giant Etna volcano, guided by a geologist that will offer his deep experience and knowledge of this marvelous territory. Moreover, we will also visit the boutique-town of Taormina, the core of Sicilian high fashion, also well-known for its lovely style and its magnificent Ancient Greek Theatre. Initial meeting in the town of Zafferana Etnea at 9:30 AM. There, we will meet the geologist<\/strong> that will guide us in our trip. We will then begin our climb of Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe (3.357m \/ 11.010 ft). We will not take the ordinary, crowded southern path \u2013 instead, we will choose the quieter northern path. We will walk on streams of solidified lava and see volcanic ash accumulated by the sides of the street, like piled snow. While climbing higher and higher, we will be able to clearly distinguish the different kinds of vegetation of this territory. Our first stop will be inside a volcanic cave<\/strong>, which the Arabs employed to make ice, storing the snow of Mount Etna. Just a few kilometres further we will stop at the Sartorius Mountains<\/strong>, where we will take a small trip to closely observe this unique landscape, formed by numerous craters lined up as the buttons of a shirt.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

For a light lunch, we will head to the town of Linguaglossa. Then, we will finally go to visit Castello degli Schiavi<\/em>, The Godfather<\/em>\u2019s mansion<\/strong>: many scenes of the trilogy were shot here, and we will be able to relive on our skin some of the most charming moments of the movies. The baron, owner of the mansion, will entertain us by telling exclusive trivia about what happened behind the scenes during the shooting.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
